CSI Lab Rededication

Ashraf Habibullah, President and CEO of Computers and Structures, Inc. was present on campus to rededicate the CSI computer lab in the ARCE department on February 20th  as part of the annual Structural Forum.  Ashraf gave a dual presentation on Performance-based Design and on the future of the Structural Engineering profession.  Afterwards, Ashraf joined university President Jeff Armstrong, CAED Dean Christine Theodoropoulos, and ARCE department head Al Estes for the rededication of the CSI lab.  The ceremony consisted of a plaque unveiling, check presentation, selected remarks, and a ceremonial cutting of a cake.  A catered lunch was provided to the approximately 100 students and guests who were on hand.  Ashraf and CSI initially sponsored the lab for five years in 2010 after providing up-front money to conduct a complete renovation.  The renewal constitutes a commitment to sponsor the laboratory for another five years with a gift of $10,000 per year over that period.  The ARCE department extends its gratitude and appreciation to Ashraf Habibullah for this wonderful gift.
